Samira Nasr has called upon the likes of Kaia Gerber, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, Cynthia Erivo, Mona Tougaard, Dua Lipa, Jenna Ortega, Linda Evangelista, and Zoe Saldaña as Harper’s Bazaar cover girls of late. The magazine might not hit like it once used to, but that doesn’t stop Nasr from celebrating a wealth of talent via the Hearst-owned fashion bible’s front covers. Nasr’s latest cover accomplishment is Michaela Coel, who fronts the March 2026 edition of the magazine. Photographed by Willy Vanderperre, the acclaimed British actress makes her US Bazaar cover debut. Dressed by stylist Katie Bernett, the BAFTA Award-winning talent gazes down Vanderperre’s lens wearing a coat, top, skirt, shorts, and gloves plucked from the Spring 2026 Prada collection of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons.
Michaela Coel for Harper’s Bazaar March 2026
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Now that digital has taken over, do you notice there’s a move away from the principles of good design when it comes to covers? I’m talking the basics, like consideration of how to make text stand out when you layer it over the image,” immediately critiqued tigerrouge upon checking out the cover.
Mikel shared the same sentiments, echoing: “The cover itself is so lacklustre because of the lack of an exciting layout.”
Forum member callmejaeden commented: “Bazaar has so much potential, but I will always be here complaining about the cover select and art direction (especially that font).”
“NO to such a basic cover,” declared BalkaniStaCouture.
“Grey background strikes again,” Lucien112 disapproved.
“What a lifeless and completely lacklustre cover. Vanderperre’s photography is so static, as is the layout and composition of the cover overall. It’s all just so flat and a total non-event for March. What a massively missed opportunity. Michaela Coel is such a striking beauty, and quite frankly, deserved better!” heradled vogue28.
